Type BLS Capacitors Offer a Reliable Solution for High Humidity Environments

Operating in high humidity settings exposes electronic components to severe degradation risks. Moisture leads to corrosion, insulation breakdown and reduced lifespan over time. Expertly engineered components enable reliable performance under these harsh conditions.

Type BLS 125°C DC Link Capacitors are designed to provide unmatched reliability and longevity, making them an ideal choice for alternative energy and electric vehicle applications where there’s constant exposure to temperature and moisture fluctuations.

These capacitors undergo rigorous testing with 2,000 hours of temperature-humidity bias (THB) testing at 85°C and 85 percent relative humidity, and their exceptional durability meets automotive-grade AEC-Q200 standards. At rated voltage, they deliver twice the rated hours compared to similar alternatives.

Key Features Include:

  • Wide Operating Range: Operates from -55°C to 125°C, optimized for high-speed SiC semiconductor switching.
  • High Capacitance Values: Available in a capacitance range from 1 to 220 µF and voltage ratings from 450 to 1100 Vdc​.
  • Robust Construction: Encased in UL94-V0 plastic with thermosetting resin potting, ensuring excellent resistance to solvents and mechanical stress.
  • Versatile Mounting Options: Suitable for horizontal or vertical board mounting with 2- or 4-pin configurations​.

Type BLS capacitors are ideal for DC filtering and DC link applications where reliable performance under variable environmental conditions is essential​.
