Applications of energy capacitors in combination with batteries:

  • Electric Vehicles
    Supercapacitors can store and release energy at lightning speed, making them ideal for applications such as regenerative braking or providing extra power. They work alongside batteries to enhance energy efficiency and extend battery lifespan.
     
  • Relieving the power grid
    This system combines lithium-ion batteries with supercapacitors to store energy and supply it to the electricity grid. To alleviate strain on our power grid, it is essential to rapidly store excess energy and release it when needed. Beyond peak shaving—where temporary high loads are absorbed for businesses—this technology contributes to a more stable power grid.
     
  • Smaller Electronics
    In portable devices where weight is a key factor, supercapacitors help manage peak loads and extend battery lifespan. This combination offers the best of both worlds: the high energy density of batteries and the fast charging and long lifespan of supercapacitors.

Jianghai now introduces an axial design for maximum performance: the highest possible currents with the highest cycle stability, all in a compact design for the most demanding applications. This casing matches widely used battery cells, making these capacitors easy to integrate into existing production lines.

    Supercaps do not contain toxic substances such as lead or cadmium, making them a greener and more sustainable alternative to traditional batteries.
