Portable Analyzer and Sniffer for Gigabit LAN

Portable Analyzer and Sniffer for Gigabit LAN

The Plug & Play Network Multimeter 200 by Allegro Packets captures and analyzes LAN traffic in Real-Time at up to 1 Gbit/s full-duplex. The portable (phone size) device enables you to examine all metadata at an average 300.000 packets/s (pps) of real world throughput. Simply connect to the mirror port of a switch or network tap, or place the Allegro Network Multimeter in-line. The Analyzer then Provides Statistics on Throughput, Response Times, Traffic Types and Destinations on Layers 2 - 7 (MAC, IP, Application). The particular data from a drilled down view, can easily be saved as a pre-filtered PCAP for WireShark Analysis.

    Independent Proactive Troubleshooting

  • An important part of an administrator's work is to monitor the various components for the performance, traffic usage and protocols of a network and the services it provides. With the Allegro Network Multimeter, there is no need for lengthy configuration; instead, network analysis can be Plug & Play.

  • Make Your Life Easier!

  • Whenever you are asked for a report or status assessment of recent network (activity) changes, e.g. the average/maximum load or quality of internal servers...With Allegro you can quickly and easily get the information you need.

The Multimeter appliance provides a quick overview of; before-after comparisons, the network users and protocols used as well as detailed statistics of the individual server services (SMB, HTTP, SSL, etc). The data for long-term evaluation of the network from the week before last, can be collected in real time and stored for archiving or further processing.

The Allegro Network Multimeter can capture many factors and parameters of a network, such as the utilization of network components or lines. These include the status of lines and virtual links, the topography and routing in the network as well as the transmission properties for individual protocols such as HTTP, FTP, DNS, SIP and TCP. In addition, there are transmission times, delays and/or error rates. Alarms and status messages from network components and devices connected to the network complement the collected information.
