K&L Microwave's UHF Diplexer

K&L Microwave's UHF Diplexer

K&L is recognized by top-tier defense contractors and wireless infrastructure providers as a world leader in the design and manufacture of RF and microwave filters, duplexers, and integrated assemblies. K&L offers customers the most extensive range of filter-based products in the industry, spanning from 0.3 MHz to 94 GHz.

Designed specifically for use in the UHF transponder aboard NASA's Curiosity rover, K&L's part number 7CZSP-397.5/442.5-O has been qualified for operation on the surface of Mars, as well as in the vacuum of space. The diplexer features less than 2 dB of insertion loss in its passbands of 390 to 405 MHz and 435 to 450 MHz with 90 dB of channel-to-channel isolation. Operational power of 60 W was tested without corona or multipaction from 1.5 x 10-5 to 12 Torr, simulating descent to and operation on the surface of Mars. Testing was done in a vacuum and in the presence of Mars gas. All qualification testing was performed in K&L's extensive environmental testing lab and confirmed at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

  • How to specify a customized Filter design

As an electronics design engineer working with RF signals, it is not the easiest part to select the proper filter characteristics. Communicating all the required parameters for a matching filter design and quotation is always a challenge. BSC filters helps you by providing a web-interface for several types of filters to assist you with providing complete and correct infomation to BSC so that BSC can make an initial proposal for the requested part. This can be an already existing part or a part which needs to be designed from scratch.

  • Dow-Key Microwave Miniature MS series

Dow-Key Microwave introduces the next generation of switch matrices: the Miniature MS series (or MMS series). MMS is ideal for test and measurement requirements. The series is equipped with high-performance Reliant Switches™ providing 0.03 dB insertion loss repeatability across DC to 26.5 GHz with minimum 10 million life cycles for SPDT and 5 million for SP6T. MMS is suitable for many applications where RF switches are needed, including extensive DUT testing. The series needs 12VDC power supply with switches controlled remotely via TCP/IP Ethernet and HTTP-Server; a built-in “Sequencer” feature allows the user to program up to ten 500-step sequence programs. A VAC-to-DC adapter is included. (RF cables are not.)
