IPC-SII is Isabellenhütte's newest addition in their IPC-MOD family.
As a result of intensive dialogue between SEW Eurodrive GmbH (Bruchsal) and ISAscale®, the IPC-MOD series will now get a new product line which fulfils requirements for frequency inverters in the range from 40 kW up to 200 kW (nominal current measurement ranges from 160 A to 540 A). SEW Eurodrive GmbH is one of the market leaders in the frequency inverters for machine tools application field.

The new sensor type differs from IPC-MOD in two main ways. The power supply will not be isolated by device due to the fact that customers in this application field can use the isolated IGBT-gain voltage to supply the IPC. Therefore a second MOLEX connector on the high side is designed in. The second distinction is housing concept. The IPC-SII comes with a synthetic housing in the IP40 class for touch protection reasons . Aforementioned design-changes lead to cost reductions, and enable ISAscale® to provide the sensor in a very competitive (price)range when compared to existing magnet based current sensors.
The sensor provides a calibrated delta sigma modulator data stream, low offset, accuracy ±0.5% within -40°C to +85°C and handling of the very compacted design. Due to the vast number of requirements for frequency inverters in an industrial environment, ISAscale® has named this sensor type IPC-SII (Standard Industrial Inverter).
