On June 8, 2015, API Technologies announced the completion of its acquisition of Aeroflex/lnmet and Aeroflex/Weinschel from Cobham. The businesses will become part of API's RF, Microwave, and Microelectronics global product offering. API Technologies is a leading provider of high performance RF, microwave, millimeterwave, power, and security solutions.

The Heynen business with regards to the Weinschel portfolio will not change and business is like before.
